Viscosity printing is a process of color separation that combines methods of intaglio and relief inking, and allows multiple colors to be printed simultaneously from a single plate.  You will learn how to prepare and roll out inks of different fluidity properties, make a collograph plate, and pull prints using the viscosity method. With this method you will create ways of overlapping and mixing colors in a multitude of variations, opening up an infinity of color possibilities. The techniques you will learn in this class can be applied to copper plates as well. Experienced printmakers are welcome, but no experience is necessary to take this class and walk away with prints of your own. Prerequisite: Printmaking experience
