Instructor: Tanya Crane

A one-time opportunity to learn from visiting artist and Seattle Metals Guild Symposium presenter Tanya Crane. Enameling is an ancient process where powdered glass is fused to metal. In this workshop, we will move past these limitations and push the boundaries of surface decoration by using screenprints to add texture and pattern to your pieces. In a low cost set-up, students will expose their own patterns onto pre-emulsified screens in class and mix a water-based solution with fine enamels to use for printing onto pre-fired enamel. The patterns and drawings you choose are limitless and students will take away many samples. Prior enameling experience is helpful, but all levels are welcome.
