*This class has been rescheduled to August 17-21* Build this elegant hallway table! This course will include skills and techniques that can be applied to many of your furniture projects. You will learn how to properly select lumber to best highlight and complement the elements of design. We will be learning and practicing a variety of techniques, such as: traditional mortise and tenons, using the mighty wedge, L-fence techniques, discuss jig and template making, use jigs and templates for the legs, pattern flush trimming, and shaping... and the usually suspects of how to mill lumber efficiently, precisely, and safely. This class is carefully designed to utilize more commonly used machines. **Students will buy their own lumber at the lumberyard. A minimum of 13 bdft 8/4 & 8 bdft 5/4 of American hardwood.** There is a required tool list, contact kmcintyre@pratt.org for details or questions. Prerequisite: Beginning Woodworking.
