Instructor: Anne Briggs

This online class is perfect for anyone that wants to explore carving. The aim of the class is to lower the barrier of entry into spoon carving, as students will only need to provide a carving knife (commonly purchased new for around $22); a carving blank will be sent to you. Students can sit in their living room and have a bucket or bowl in front of them to collect chips as they carve. Your instructor, Anne will teach many of the basic carving strokes, to help develop safety skills while using a knife and how to create the shapes you desire to make. A butter paddle is the perfect cooking instrument while sautéing up fresh veggies or making curries. This course is instructed online, using Microsoft Teams. The live sessions will be recorded and available for 48 hours after the class is completed. The carving blank will be shipped to students, please make sure your shipping address is correct while enrolling for the class. In person pick up is not possible. Must enroll 7 days prior to class to allow time for shipping. No international shipping. This class will be maxed out at 20 people which will allow for Q/A and feedback as students carve. Plan to have a place to put your laptop to film yourself as you work.
