Learn fundamental leather-working skills by designing and creating custom belts or bracelets that you’ll enjoy wearing or giving as gifts. Through live discussion, real-time demonstrations, and hands-on experience, students will become familiar with basic leather-working tools and techniques including cutting, punching, and riveting. Students can expect to complete 2 – 3 wearable projects. Prerequisite: none.
*Students will pick up a supply kit from Pratt prior to the first class. Students will need to provide their own handtools and some supplies based on a shopping list provided; the minimimum cost for required tools and supplies is approximately $80. Students receiving Tuition Assistance may request to borrow a tool kit from Pratt. Please register at least one week prior to the class start date to have time for getting tools and supply kits.
