This online class is one session long and is part of a spoon carving series that will be offered by Tom Henscheid. In this class you will complete your own light weight portable spoon carving bench that includes a modified hand screw and a foot rope vise and learn how to utilize it. This "bench" is meant to versatile, for people that might not have a permanent shop, think apartments and working at the kitchen table, or people who might be mobile or have tiny crafting space. The bench is highly customizable in height and clamping configurations. It is quick to assemble and dissemble for storage. *24 hours prior to the start of class, Tom will share a video on how to complete the final assemble of the workbench. Students should follow the assembly instructions prior to the start of live class. The first bit of the live session will be Q and A about the build process. The rest of the class will be dedicated to Tom teaching/demoing to students how to use the bench for spoon carving and tool sharpening. The class will be recorded, students will have access to the class for 48 hours after the class ends. Tom's love of learning and sharing is infectious. No Prerequisite.
