Making chain is one of the best (and most satisfying!) ways of improving your soldering skills. Learn strategies for shaping uniform or creative links, then solder them securely--without soldering them into a clump. Students must have access to a torch that burns hot enough for silver soldering (a butane creme brulee or craft torch will work) and an appropriate work area. Your soldering knowledge and precision will grow with each link you add to your wearable, hand-crafted chain.
Prerequisite: some prior soldering experience.
Your supply kit will include brass but students who prefer to work in sterling can purchase it prior to class (shopping suggestions provided upon registration).
