This class introduces you to reduction woodcut printmaking, by hand. Learn to employ safe relief cutting techniques, use printmaking inks, and generate original prints with multiple color layers - all from a single block. You will learn how to design, carve, and print anywhere from 2 to 10 layers of color from 1 woodblock, from your home. Prerequisite: None These classes meet weekly, an office hour is offered (students can meet individually with the instructor) and there are demo videos to view during the week. This class has a series of demo videos available to students during each week before the check in live sessions and is hosted by MS Teams.
