This class is co-taught by Larry Calkins and Gwen Lennox Using pattern and repeating forms is way of making images from ancient times and from every culture. It has been used in textiles to sculptures to cave paintings. Examples include paisley from India, dots from Australia, sacred geometry from the Middle East, folk arts from Africa to name a few. We will employ a variety of methods and materials including stamping, tracing and stenciling, and work on multiple surfaces including paper, cloth and wood. Prerequisite: None
