This class introduces fundamental techniques and design insights for creating framed moss art. Using wild-harvested mosses and lichens that have been preserved so that they remain pliable indefinitely, students will explore the ways in which aspects of plant morphology meet with form, texture, and color in this burgeoning art form. Students will learn to work with the natural variations of plants to create depth and interest within the frame. Supply kits will be shipped to students - please make sure your shipping address is correct while enrolling for the class. In-person pick up is not possible.Must enroll 14 days prior to class to allow time for shipping. Each student will also need to provide their own limited set of tools. A detailed supply list will be emailed prior to class. Hosted on MS Teams, the live session will be recorded and available for 48 hours after the class is completed. The deadline for registration of this class is July 12th.
