In this workshop, you will learn the basics of moku-hanga, Japanese woodblock, and explore other variations within the medium. Moku-hanga differs from many printmaking techniques as its printed by hand without a press and uses water based ink. We will also explore a hybrid technique using western based oil inks with the same printing process. By the end of this workshop you will be able to take this technique and print at home, in an unventilated space and without a press! Materials and basic tools provided.
